I've considered it. The lack of an offline, synchronizing Google Calendar application for the Nokia 770 is the only thing keeping me from actually using Google Calendar... But I don't really have enough free time to invest at the moment, unfortunately.

Actually, what I'd really want is a combined Google Calendar/Contacts application, but unfortunately the Contacts data doesn't have a feed, so anything done would have to be a hack (like gmail-agent).

Actually, what I'd really really want would be for Nokia to build all of the above into the existing Nokia 770's Contacts application.

The latest version of GPE Calendar has support for remote calendars, I've used it with ScheduleWorld but I belive it works with Google:

Excellent.. I'll try that with gcal.

Andrew - do you know what format the calendar url needs to be in for GPE-Cal to subscribe to the remote calendar? (i.e. is it expecting xml, ical, html, etc)

n'mind - it uses .ics - http://fl0rian.wordpress.com/2006/06...s-for-os-2006/

I have it subscribing to my gcal, but it's one way (i.e. you can't add an event in GPE-cal and get it synced to gcal). It also doesn't seem to notice when an event is deleted from gcal.

Can you just refresh or do you have to relink it?

apparently you can only sync one way with gcal at the moment (i.e. reading from gcal)

the only way to get stuff into gcal currently is by using it's 'import calendar' feature and import an ical or csv file - http://www.google.com/support/calend...y?answer=34573

I am trying to import a ical file (.ics) off of mac.com and have been unsuccessful, anything I may be missing?

TIA

what do you mean by "unsuccessful" ? Did it import anything at all?

you might want to do some googling... search for

google calendar import ical

and you'll find lots of hits

Nope, nothing came through and it didn't say anything like it could not get the data. I am probably doing something wrong.
