No, it's just a map, not a navigation solution. There are many applications meant to be used for navigation (maemo mapper, ovi maps, navit ...).

Maep is meant to be just a simple map.

Can someone please PLEASE clean up this PR1.2 SDK autobuilder repository mess. maemo.org considers maep to have broken dependencies although it was actually built by their own autobuilder.

The result: it installs fine, works great but cannot be promoted to extras-testing. So the current memory leaking version will stay longer in extras ...

If the purpose of this neverending mess is to annoy developers: Congratulations, you've reached your goal ....

Will be fixed by the PR1.2 release. Which will be... soon.

(I know you probably hate that answer, anyway.)

This post is off topic and belongs into "Dave999's Original, Legendary PR1.2 thread now devoted to Random Chatter and featuring drunk Laughingstok as Chuck Norris"

There is the possibility to import tracks, does anybody know what kind of tracks and what format the track must have?

This is nice, but I'm having some trouble loading OpenCycleMap tiles. Any fix in the works for that?

As the original author seems to be MIA I updated Maep with fixed OpenCycleMap. Now also supports Hike & Bike Map and MapQuest.

New version with Transport map layer, removal of ÖPVN Karte and Osmarender layers as they are not updated anymore. There's also a refresh mode that refreshes visible tiles older than 5 minutes. Press R to toggle between modes.
