I have been sent 3 pictures from a ym pc user friend before to my pigdin ym account but i cant send or at least i cant find how to.

I thought, that "FileTransfer" app only works with jabber?

The app UI clearly states: "Note that only jabber accounts can send or recieve file at the time of writing".
Hopefully it will support other IM-accounts in an future update.
