Hi!

I wasnt happy with the available frontends for javispedro glol, so i made yet another one
you can find it here: http://meestuff.blogspot.com/p/orientationlock.html

It packages glol (slightly modified, so that it doesnt conflict with the original glol package, in case you have it installed).

hope someone else will find it useful as well
cheers

It's strange coz it works here. but as i wrote, for me it happens that if i have a terminal open, or if i open after i lock, and then i release the lock, then the terminal is still locked. i have to close it and reopen to have it lock-free..

However if you say it still does not work for you, could you ckeck, after unlocking, if ps |grep glol reports you some glol process still running?

question: does glol alone work for you? if you could install it..
or use the one that is shipped with orientationlock.
Just open a terminal, write "/opt/orientationlock/bin/glol p"
then do some stuff with orientation locked
then close the terminal, or just ctrl+c in the terminal
then check if the orientation is unlocked
