1. Make sure you use a GNU/Linux system, if you don't have one then use a virtual environment like the Ubuntu in VirtualBox
2. Make sure there are nothing else than aphanumeric characters in the theme name
3. Copy the file dpkg-deb from /usr/bin to the theme maker directory, with a command such as

Too bad the TM still isn't fixed. I'm itching to get this released to extras.

Talked to konttori about your theme problem, its not in your theme its a problem with the older firmware Qwerty12 has it worked on his N900
