I want to restore my N900 to factory settings ie a full factory resit.

I've downloaded the latest maemo flasher for mac, and the image files for the firmware and emmc. Ive also downloaded the 770 flasher.

Ive read and tried and failed to follow the maemo wiki page for this but its not very clear and straight forward. https://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_...r_Nokia_tablet

I've also scoured the net for help without any real success.

I was hoping someone could provide me with a step by step guide to do this (we could also add it to the wiki page for over users to use).

Just to confirm i want to full factory reset the N900 with a mac.

Greatful for any help.

I had so much trouble making it work I ended up booting into a linux live CD and using the linux instructions. It used to work just fine on my Mac but the last couple time I reflashed it was a pain to make it work.

Should be really straightforward. Would bother with 770 Flasher, though.

I agree with sts1976. It's really not working as described in the wiki at least not on my mac. This page below describes how to do it with the 770 flasher:

This worked perfect for me.
