Would any dev be interested in this? Basically, rigging up a Tear-based RSS feed reader.

I know I'm not the only one who has been getting fed-up with the feed reader and its unresponsiveness and lagginess.

Please and thank you

Hmm... Or maybe something integrated?

Btw, the mobile Google Reader is actually quite good.

I didn't want to ask you directly because I know you've worked so hard on this, and I was hoping another dev would be eager to help... but, yes! An integrated reader would be great, Bundyo! As long as it could be used offline, too... Unlike google's

Prob wouldn't be hard to link feedcircuit w/ tear instead of microb. (i already do by bookmarking in tear each feed's items page that's created by feedcircuit.) voila.

We just need someone to get Gears working on the tablets.

I reckon that would be more work than rigging up a reader with the great foundation Webkikt and Tear provide.

On the other hand, it would solve RSS, PIM, Email, etc. all at once.

Touche'!

Didn't we have a google gears port around here somewhere? And... Bundyo, could it be integrated into Tear?

No, but WebKit already has local SQL storage (no need for Gears). I only need to find out why it doesn't work.

Check this in Safari/Chrome (only Safari 4 beta tested, Chrome 1/2 doesn't have it):

EDIT: Now this is working in Tear too
