@sunish: Thanks for reminding me. I'll look into it..something simple should be quite easy to do.

@ryan: You should be able to write to your home folder as normal user. You either have the permissions set wrong on your home folder (improbable unless you messed it up yourself from the terminal - in that case google for some linux permission howto) or you're actually moving it somewhere else. The target directory is what is written in the address bar at the top. (and also what's written in the error dialog).

New version:
Code:
v0.3.0 - pause/abort file operations, new progressbars, tweaks & fixes
 * click to inactive file list won't change selection
 * added possibility to pause/abort the operations
 * fixed error handling on sequential file check
 * new style for the progressbars, display more info
 * code cleanup
 * pause in the middle of copying a file w/o reset
 * made progressbar layout 2 rows, max 6 bars total
 * slight styling enhancements for panes
 * remember scrollbar position for visited directories
You can now click the free space above error/overwrite dialogs to hide the dialog. The operation will be paused and you can fix things. Tap the bar to pause/resume an operation, long press will bring up the abort prompt.

The progress bars are now drawn using a custom style, so don't be surprised they look better than the default ones
