cant find where is my problem. Both can emails receive but not sending. The Arcor Email dont need @arcor.de

see someone whats wrong?

For me emailaddress AND smtp/address have to be set to my emailadress. (using hosteurope IMAP).

imap4/username and smtp/smtpusername are different, they are the mailbox-usernames.

You must know what type of SMTP auth your provider use.

I tested autodetected mail.arcor.de and strato.de in kmail, and booth seems they want PLAIN that means authenticate=2. So try set it to 2 in terminal using:

ag-tool update-service 4 email int:smtp/authentication=2
ag-tool update-service 8 email int:smtp/authentication=2
also don't forget change emailaddress field to real email.

Code:
ag-tool update-service 4 email string:emailaddress=YOUREMAIL
ag-tool update-service 8 email string:emailaddress=YOUREMAIL

Also note that smtp encryption is set to TLS for your first email, SSL is more commonly used, not sure if is that you want, you can change that in the UI.

I am using authentication method “password” with SSL and the port specified by my provider. TLS should also work according to provider. tried unencrypted, too - doesn't help either.

in mail app, outbox keeps “updating...” forever, without sending mails.

No error is shown in the GUI.
how do.I start the mail.App from terminal to get log output?

have you tried auth cryptated password and set email as it stated in post above?

setting cryptated password did the trick.
