but i think they won't show up ^^
if you want them to show up, you have to replace the original files.
(make a backup first)
they are named "general_avatar$no.png" where $no is a number between 1 and 14
(ok... maybe you try "general_avatar15.png" and look if it's showing up in addition to the default ones ^^)

Also, does anyone know where I can download a whole pack of avatar images?
update: okay. google did wonders for me here. Search "avatar image pack".
