Does it cost any extra to do it? I've downloaded that bluetooth tethering gizmo onto my n900 and managed to get it connected and working through that to connect my netbook to the internet. does it come out of my allowance for internet thats part of my contract. As I know on BT iphone contracts you have to have bluetooth tethering on your price plan.

I'm on vodafone in the UK!

Yes it will come out of the internet allowance. I'm also on Vodafone UK.

Keep in mind that the max speed you can reach through BT is 40kb/s. If you want faster speeds you can use tethering via WiFi.

I use USB tethering on mine as I find the battery gets killed, find its best to keep it charging while running 3G flat out )

would appreciate some details on how to make it work for win vista pc please (assuming it isnt a dumb question, and is possible!)...

got it and works on my windows pc...lovely

I reach 1MBit/s through bluetooth tethering.
