HiFo board elections are overdue but since it will dissolve (which is overdue too) and transfer all assets to MC eV this month, (I hope; personally, I can't do much though) this is negligible.

Next MC eV board elections were sheduled for march 2015 (1 year after kickoff-meeting), but need to be held now, since Nieldk stepped down as director and MC eV bylaws require a board of at least 3.
Only thing that cures this situation would be that Nieldk withdraws his resignation. Let's hope...

As stated earlier, MC eV board elections will be held by regular members only and only they qualify as directors. Although board (chemist, juiceme) won't be prepared to provide membership-forms right away, everybody who cares about community may consider to formally become regular member now.

Next council elections are sheduled for january 2015 (following the everlasting 6-month cycle).

What is a regular member? Is it like a citizen in starship troopers?

according to MC eV bylaws § 7 Board of Directors:

§ 7 Board of Directors
(1) The Board of Directors consists of three natural persons at least 21 years of age. It shall represent the association legally and extrajudicial.
(2) Only active members may become Director.
(3) The Board of Directors shall designate a chair and two Deputy Directors. Any two of these three Board members together are authorized to fully represent the association.
(4) The Board's duties, especially rules to announce board meetings, their proceedings and executions of votes are regulated by the Board's internal regulations which shall be decided on by a simple majority vote of the Board of Directors.
(5) The Board of Directors executes the Council's and General Assembly's rulings.
(6) On termination of individual Board members, the duties of the retiring Board member can be taken over by the remaining Board members, provided that these agree. Alternatively, the Board may supplement until the next regular election by board resolution from the number of active members.
(7) Board members can be removed on request by the General Assembly with good cause. An important reason is especially given if the member is accused of criminal behavior, which makes further activity for the association unreasonable.
In order to participate in next MC eV board elections, actively (by candidacy) or passively (by voting), you have to become regular member/part of General Meeting.

And yes, membership gets granted by board upon request. Just like when you wanna join your favourite soccer club, same procedure. An application form will be provided soon, I believe.

3:11 Win7Mac: ...probably not. Any suggestions to give "regular members" and "promoters" more rights over "irregular members" (if that's desired at all)?
August 27, 2013
5:00 unnamed: More rights in the sense???
Win7Mac: voting rights. for now, "active members" have same rights as "irregular members" (community)

The body speaks of active (where participation in meetings is the only thing that is clearly stated) members vs passive. Wrong link?
When did normal TMOers become irregular?
