Has anyone tried Winamp Remote with N900 and successfully able to stream videos? I am able to stream music but not videos. Is there a configuration I've missed? I dont feel like using other Orb solutions or MediaBox etc.. Winamp seems simple and easy to use.

I get a "Unable to play media. Video codec not supported" error no matter what video I try to stream

I have the "Extra Decoders Support" installed on my N900.

Sorry I can't answer your video problem question but I was wondering how you stream music with Winamp. Do you access your pc by going through Winamp's website? How secure is it?

Odd, I streamed my videos on winamp remote and it played everything. It even scaled down 720p and 1080p files and played smoothly. It also played videos the stock Windows' UPnP couldn't play.

Maybe not a proper reply about winamp remote but I suggest tversity for video streaming. Unbeatable performance and so far not a single rip or download messed up.

It's free and it's a one klick setup as long as you have your vids in "my videos" folder.

Good luck
