Hello.
I have a small problem.
When I connect to a screen running on a linux box some keys just doesnt work.
I cant use escape when I'm in vi.
nor can I use enter when I'm in mutt or centerim.

It seems like the keys are getting remapped or something
when connecting to a screen.
all keys works fine in a plain shell and in a shell running inside screen.

I did ask around on irc and it seems like there is more people having this problem.

Anyone have a clue on what can be causing this behaviour?

Regards
fraggeln

See bug 6009 (please vote for that bug). There's also a patch that you can apply to the sources and rebuild vte to fix it (it's a bug in libvte, not in X Terminal per se).

I've now uploaded a binary build of libvte4 with the patch included that you can install on your N900 to have the issue fixed, see this comment (and attachment) in the bug report:

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6009#c23

Download the package to your N900, then install with "dpkg -i libvte4_0.16.14-0mh9.m5_armel.deb" as root.
