"Skype.
Call friends on Skype for free wherever you are in the world. All you need is a 3G or Wi-Fi connection. "

I can't tell you how much I like that "3G or Wi-Fi"

If this thing has a root-terminal without hacking, I will buy one from nokia.

Just the fact the N900 with all it's beauty is based on Debian ARM is amazing.

Image the possibilities and dynamics empowered by Open Source !

Indeed, X Terminal is default on the tablet.

maybe I'm the only one not that excited because I can handle paying $450 for my n810 when I got it less then 2 years ago but $715 is almost double and well out of my price range. I would have liked to get one but even if I had to pay $450 for it like my n810 it would most likely still be to much for me right now. I think Nokia went a little high on the price to me.

Ok. But all software pre-installed support that? Especially to be used with one hand.
As I understand it, the only built-in app that can use portrait mode is the phone app. (And possibly the image browser app?)

I too would like to see as many apps as possible have both portrait and landscape modes, but that might take a while.

I'm guessing that this is because the tablet itself does not have SyncML support but Nokia PC Suite is able to sync to a SyncML server.

(The USB and Bluetooth part make sense; I'd expect it to say 3G/WLAN if it was able to be done on device. Phones are able to connect to the Nokia PC Suite via Bluetooth/USB. Combine this with a "syncd" starting up: https://stage.maemo.org/svn/maemo/pr...uite-enable.sh)

The launch is awesome, but the video still doesnt work. Nokia needs to understand that everything just needs to work of the average user. Imagine all the people visiting maemo.nokia.com and the video not loading...

Come on nokia get your act together.
