Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection contains a number of popular puzzle games for one player. See the Original homepage for more informations.

Latest version in Maemo Extras: 8853-1maemo1 Download and info page here.

Latest version in Extras-testing: 8853-1maemo3 Test and and vote here to get the upgrade to Extras.

Changes since previous version:

* add puzzles help files by popular demand
- Inside any game, hit "help -> help on xxx" , and browser will open with that page
* fix sgt-launcher to work when user has changed partitioning (ruskies bug)
* add copyright file to be policy compliant

Mandatory screenshot:

Yeah, that is rubberband scrolling icon grid - if just the main grid would allow submenus, the whole excersize would be unnecessary.

TODO:

1) Port to Qt - for future and to make the UI more "mobile" friendly.
2) Make it possible to add games as shortcuts to homeview
3) Multitude of other polishings
4) Port the launcher to C++/Qt

Oh, and for some real commitment, a graphics designer to improve the graphics of the puzzles would really be needed!

New thread created to have the latest info of sgt-puzzles in the first post.

Well, good question. I'm a coder rather than desinger But clearly the game is very spartan in its look. However, the graphics is created by code using "drawline" and "drawcircle" so making it more beautiful is not as trivial as drawing new pixmaps..

At least a coherant selection of colors rather than dropping things like 0000ff# for blue like in the "pegs" game would help.

Very nice puzzle collection -- always a good choice to spend some minutes!

But I have a technical problem I did not have in an earlier version (do not remember which): crtl-click does not work as right click, but left click. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or is it just on my N900?

There has been bug #9685 in the bugtracker for a while you can use for comments on this issue!
