no i didnt think this device would be like other smartphones, and thats probably why im not dissapointed.

get real people. the bleeding edge isnt all fast paced glorious tech porn. its a ****ed up place where the people who give a flying **** strive to make things better for the masses. this my friends is a fact that is nearly never accounted for, and should more often be.

bad hardware is bad hardware. happens to everyone once or twice. i can say that the build quality on the device is stellar. no issues for me.

point being, patience everyone...things will get better. alot better. the more of these that are sold worldwide the better for the community. wait and see.
My expectations aren't low, nor do I have it yet. I'm basing my hypothetical assumption on the amount of people I've seen saying they're having issue with their phone. Those people having issues are in the majority from all the people I've seen post about having the phone in their hands.

it maybe a pretty raw product, but it certainly isn't a 1st gen device. it's just that they decided at some point that they throw all their (phone- and tablet-) experience overboard and make it look like a first gen device...

I think the reason why Nokia N900 isnt releasing in ASIA because NOKIA THINK Asian people got very little tiny hands lol. And the device is too large for the little hands to hold and operates.

Obviously NOKIA will make a Nokia N900 - Mini to tackle this issues for ASIA release.

hehehehhahahah

And waiting...and waiting...and waiting...

I'm sure the number of units sold will increase significantly once people can start buying the device from their favourite retailer and not have to hop around like a flea circus trying to find somewhere that has it in stock.

im calling bs on that blt site.. i can't fathom over 15,000 people ordered a $600 phone from some place none of us have heard of before we all got bored waiting for our phones to ship and started googling. and if that place was doing that kind of business, enough to order over $13 million worth of stock for a single product, you'd think they'd have enough money to make their website not suck.

BLT is a wholesaler, not just a retailer. Some (possibly even most) of those units will be for stores, not consumers.

I think the asian will get the hype and overbought it, until then they'll rage that this device doesnt make any sense to vast majority of them. I'm in asia and i'm eagerly waiting for this phone to be officially available in my country.
