U have to browse/cd to the folder where u downloaded it with x-terminal and use dpkg -i filename.deb to install it.

gud pm.. anyone who knows,,can you plss give me a copy of config of defaults and dsp profile.. becuase i edit mine and i forgot to backup.. help me plss.. thanks

here is the link, download and install latest kernel-power-settings

http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d.../kernel-power/

or simply in x-term type...
sudo gainroot
apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power-settings

Thanks, I have already solve the problem.

I resolved the issue by just going to the main menu and chose "nokia kernel", which deinstalled the power kernel. Rebooted, then i use application manager to again install the kernel power settings in the extra-devel repo. It automatically pulled the power kernel, modules and flasher. After the reinstallation, the issue went away.

knobby i have already kp49..im only nid was the original config of profile of defaults and dsp..can you upload it?it would be big apreciated

when i tap a deinsttalation which is the nokia kernel.. it shows error during deinstallation.. nokia kernel cannot be installed..

knobby one more thing.. pls upload of original config of defaults and dsp.. because when i reinstall the one that i edit still exists so that i dont have an original config of defualt and dsp.. thanks
