Seems like I have a serious issue and search didnīt help yet...

I rebooted my N9 earlier and since that it canīt access SIM card anymore.

It asks for my PIN repeatedly every few minutes. I can enter the correct PIN and it is accepted (false PIN gives an error). Afterwards this useless "SMS Services" icon shows up and disappears again, this happens 3 times while phone seems to try to access SIM card and that's it. No SIM card access, no GSM connection and after about 1 minute it asks again for PIN code...

Since last reboot I installed MeMailSettings (uninstalling didnīt help) and updated a couple other apps e.g. Wazapp, OppUI (just GUI).
In programs I have an entry "locate" that says installation failed. Don`t know what this is or if it is related, but re-installing also fails (package not found).
There is nothing else I can think of what I did, didnīt change or take out SIM or anything...

Unfortunately I donīt have another MicroSIM or device using MicroSIM for testing...

I already rebooted multiple times with no success :-(.
Is there anything else I can to to investigate or resolve this issue?

afaik locate is an app from the nokia store. maybe try removing it and trying?

Ah yes, right, tried to download this a couple of weeks ago but it failed.
Removing didnīt help...

then it must be the microsim. i had a similar issue (3g kept getting interrupted and the network was switching rapidly between present and absent) but i was using a microsim cut from the original card. got it changed to a pure microsim and it solved the issue.

Mine is a pure microSIM and I didn't have any issues so far...
As unlikely as it seems that a SIM stops working from one moment to another, I might have to order a new one and see if this helps...

Can someone explain this to me?

As my phone kept asking for my PIN, i took out the (probably broken) SIM card.
When I started Wazapp it asked me to register, even though I already did that when Wazapp was released.
This is understandable as Whatsapp relies on SIM for authentication.

So I put the SIM back in and restarted Wazapp. And it recognized my existing account again...

How is this possible that Wazapp is working with this SIM that seems to be broken otherwise!?
