I did some browser benchmarks and here are the results, impressively fennec smashed the competition

Code:
browser cpu freq milliseconds
microb stock #####################################################>[33417ms]
microb 1000mhz #################################################>21104ms
opera 11 stock #########################################: 8302ms
opera 11 1000mhz ########################### 5419ms
chromium5 stock ############################################ 8796ms
chromium5 1000mhz ###########################: 5502ms
fennec9a1 stock #########################: 5140ms
fennec9a1 1000mhz ################ 3207ms
I also created a wiki page so that you can contribute your results.

request: please if anybody has fennec 6 stable installed please visit sunspider and post the results, and you guys with the newer dualcore beasts (galaxy s2's and atrixes and optimuses) please test android browser opera and fennec and report back. I have a feeling that you'll be positively surprised (by the N900 performance, that is)

More results:
froyo browser on stock milestone: 12410
fennec 9a1: 5477

milestone runs on the same 600Mhz SoC as the N900

In my N900 Fennec is still slower that the native browser. Fennec is being blocked easily with scripts on pages.

Can you please past here the direct link to the fennec version you using?
My nightly fennec installation is just to slow to even use so I would really appreciate if you tell me which one is faster for you.
Thank you in advance.

I don't know which is the exact build
It was the last nightly about the time I made the OP. The ui is a little slow but not unusable like older fennec versions. There is a bug with textareas, another where the tab crashes if you double click on the next link to zoom in tmo, but scrolling is even better than in microb, and javascript and rendering speed, is just flying.

Would the reason to prefer Fennec not ultimately be the possibility to block scripts on pages through add ons like NoScript?

As a comparison, I've run test with Dolphin browser on the 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab, and it scores 5790.4ms +/- 1.2%
