Step 5 of 5?

I wonder what will be the FOSS message he will bring with him.

Good for HP! Somewhat ironically that was the company (well, DEC which was then borged by Compaq which was then borged by HP) that pioneered the Linux handheld computer.

WTF!!!
Did Nokia and Palm just swap employee? Soon we'll hear MS hiring Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo as a swap of Elop.

Lol this just keep getting weirder and weider-er.

May Nokia plans to plant the seeds inside other companies and then secretly stealing Ideas.

That's mainly a Microsoft strategy:
1) Get Microsoft Director on "Board of Directors" in company/organisation.

2) Director brings in other Microsoft friendly employees/Directors/consultants.

3) Company/organisation starts to follow Microsoft march.

4) Company/organisation make "odd" decisions. People say "I wasn't expecting that!" - E.g. OOXML standards

5) Profit.

6) Sarky comments like this appear on Internet.

Was there ever a post that was more off topic than this?

Now are we going to hear about new work that any ex-Nokian finds?

Maybereport any new hiring by any company that ever made a linux device?

What to take away from this?

1. Jaaksi seems like he's truly passionate to stick with this segment of the industry.

2. He truly knows his ****, thus valued by he industry and quickly poached by a competitor.

I would have to say it's Nokia's loss.
