Hello guys,

I've just hard reset my N9 because for some reason it was really really slow and the battery drained out with no apparent reason.

I didn't realize that the official nokia repos are now down, and I'm struggling to import my contacts and install the few (2) apps I liked.

I've downloaded the 1.3 Gb archive found in another thread but every time I try to install an app, I have dependencies problems and, as the official repo is down, it won't fix it.

So I'm coming to you guys for help. What should I do in order to:
- import a .vcf file
- install the 2 apps I used: shopping list & flashlight

Try to start with Nokia Store and Repositories.
For importing a .vcf you can use filebox or filecase.

I just reset my own N9 two days ago - how's that for timing? I made myself a guide for getting everything working again. It's not very comprehensive because I made it for my personal use, but perhaps it will help you:

GUIDE TO RESETTING THE N9 POST 2016
This guide should be all you need. In case not, refer to this tutorial: https://wiki.maemo.org/Resurrect_your_N9

Step 1: Flash
Just to be safe, flash the phone. Resetting is less comprehensive. Flashing guide is here:
https://wiki.maemo.org/Flashing_N9
The necessary firmware file is on mom's computer, located at c:/Program Files/Nokia/Flasher. The flashing guide calls for an eMMC image - you don't need this

Step 2: RepoMirror, developer mode
Nokia repositories necessary to install developer mode no longer exist. They must be replaced with Ancelad's repo mirror, available here:
https://openrepos.net/content/ancelad/n9-repomirror
Don't forget to enable installations from unknown sources first (Settings - Applications - Installations)
Developer mode may fail to install even with Ancelad's repos. In case of failure, install this:
https://openrepos.net/content/basil/...veloper-policy
One you have installed the repo mirror, go to Settings - Security - Developer mode and activate this

Step 3: Sudo-open mode
Very simple, download and install Coderus's Aegis-hack app from this link and you're done:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=90750

Step 4: Bypass Nokia account sign in
To use Maps and Drive, you need to bypass the Nokia account sign in screen. Refer to this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...+NOKIA+ACCOUNT
Copy the code to a text file, rename it Drive.ini, rename the existing file to something else, and copy the new Drive.ini file to the folder

Step 5: Extras: Overlock, emojifix, etc
Overclock: All requirements should be met already, simply follow instructions to install in this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=1227
Emojifix: Without this hack, texts including emoji will not show up on the N9. Refer to this thread/post for fix

You can skip step one. You'll need to open that link to Ancelad's RepoMirror on your N9 and download it from the browser. Until you can install a file manager app, there's no way to install the file except through the built in Transfers system - hence downloading on the N9.

Step 4 can be skipped entirely by simply installing this hack as you would any app: https://openrepos.net/content/hamedr...-drive-enabler

Also, rather than digging through that store archive, just use OpenRepos.net to get your apps. Install this app on your phone, it's your store replacement https://openrepos.net/content/basil/warehouse

And lastly, follow these steps in the order they're written. You might encounter errors if you don't. If you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them.

For the applications use Openrepos.net (Official App for N9 is Warehouse)

Irrespective of whether you have altered Drive.ini if SIM card in place you will still get annoying Nokia log-in prompt upon booting unless carry out one of #21, #22 or #23 in this thread:http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...0&postcount=20
