I have no idea why it happened.I just switched my sim card and now it doesn't identify the sim. Both the old one and the new one I am inserting in. I tried the sim on different phones and they all worked fine. What could be the problem? Please help. Thanks!

for future use I managed to solve the problem. There is not enough contact between the sim and the contact pins inside. So what I did is a sandwiched thin paper between the holder and the sim and its now perfectly working.

Wipe it clean with alcohol - you may use fine cognac or aftershave or even windscreen wiper fluid for your car. he fingerprints are sufficient to block the SIM card connectors.

i opened nokia n9 and saw the sim connectors were broken, went to nokia care and they said they could not do anything. next i saw youtube videos and disassembled all the parts and now i have the master chip. but the problem is the sim jacket. how to remove it safely and sim card reader is not available in my hood. is there any alternative for that?
