And it's already in new builds' package setup

Can you attach your /etc/hildon/system-menu.plugins file?
The easiest way to fix it is to get someone's /etc/hildon/system-menu.plugins file. Unfortunatelly, at the moment I can't attach it

Btw, did you reboot device?

@412b - sweet! i'll look forward to consolidating my menu when this is ready.

@jehan - i don't have access to my backup files on the road, but here's a system-menu.plugin entry that you can add to the top of your file for the clock if you don't have an entry for it any longer:

Code:
[clock-plugin.desktop]
X-Desktop-File=/usr/share/applications/hildon-status-menu/clock-plugin.desktop
X-Status-Area-Permanent-Item=Clock
X-Status-Menu-Position=3
You can change the 'X-Status-Menu-Position' value higher to move the "Clock & Alarms" applet menu further down your list...

nice and useful, but i had to uninstall for 2 reasons:

- it makes Xorg use 100% CPU all the time
- phone to longer completely turns off (always restarts after turning off)

hope you fix these issues soon.

Well, xorg is still using 100% CPU even after uninstalling and restarting, any idea how to stop it?
i tried dpkg --purge advanced-power, and it says cannot remove '/usr/lib/hildon-desktop/advpowlib': no such file or directory

edit: nvm, removed battery for 5 minutes and problem is fixed

yes I rebooted the device

hmmm ... unfortunately there is no /etc/hildon/system-menu.plugins file anymore ... only a link to the theme I use.

is there a way to extract system-menu.plugins from the rootfs firmware-image?
