Some more news, unfortunately not promising ones this time:

http://www.mtv.fi/uutiset/kotimaa/ar...peraan/5937530

Still no delivery, no comments from Mr. Chao and other persons linked to the company refuse to comment as "CEO it the one handling media relations". In April only small packages have been delivered to the factory, likely containing some parts for phones. Mayor of Salo is also unaware of the current stituation, but has been promised up to date information "next week".

Seems like more smoke and mirrors. I rather suspect that pressure on the phone was significantly less than would be placed by an average ~1400kg family car rolling slowly over it.

These tests are all meaningless anyway. I don't know the exact odds of a steamroller rolling over a perfectly placed phone, but I would guess they are slightly lower than the odds of a phone falling from waist height on one of its corners - I don't think many devices can get out of that kind of situation in one piece.

N900 in Otterbox vs parking lot. Otterbox did get a small scuff on corner, but came out winner. Or at lesst a tie. Otterbox vs pants pocket also goes to otterbox.

what a beast, that combination. ..

That plastic frame around the glass was a really good idea, whoever designed it.

Tracks on a bulldozer have very low soil compacting because they spread the weight out compared to tires.
