I could be wrong, but I was under the impress that the GP2X had two microprocessors, so it had a bit more processor power than a 770.

you know ? the game park game handheld console
running linux !
they have ported a lot to the machine, including mame
and specifics neogeo (mvs and cd !)
and there are sources and inspiration!
