Anybody know of an app that will power down the 770? I listen to Internet radio in the evening and would like to be able to set an auto off period so when I drift off to sleep the thing will power down.

You can use XTerm

and then type shutdown and alot the amount of time before.

Sorry...I am new at this, could you be a little more specif? I tried on my N900 like this "shutdown 10" and I got, "-sh: shutdown: not found"

shutdown -h now
You will need root access though (install rootsh, then run "sudo gainroot" in xterm and then the command above).

Thank you so much...but now...if I wanted it to be shut down after 30 min... should it be "shutdown -30 now"?

Tried
$ sudo gainroot

/home/user # shutdown 1 -h

shut down after 1 min
and powered off

shutdown 1
shut down and reboot after 1 min

shutdown 1 -hP

shut down and powered off

If connected to power supply,
Nokia logo
appears on shut down
screen white
than enters in saving mode
and screen is dark

Charging icon visible.

So works great

Thank you Darius, so much, I tried all those commands, but still nothing here, do you think it could be something related to compatibility to Maemo 5?
