Same problem now on N900. Maybe youtube has changed something or has it worked you before? There might be cutetube2 or 3 app for N9 which you could probably try.

Unfortunately, CuteTube2 doesn't work either, at least on my n9, there's "stream not found" error. On the other hand, yt on stock web browser just works here, but audio-video quality is 240p tier.

You lucky guy. p240 stream. I have not had ever straight video stream on my N900. In the land of the blind the guy with one eye is a king.
