BTW, the last time I checked, the tearbookmarks panel in Extras didn't have the bookmark manager. That version of tearbookmarks is limbo'ed in Extras-Devel. Anyone know why?

ah, silly me. I keep forgetting that extra-devel is supposedly taboo...

best guess, no-one bothered to bump it on, as tear is outside of the normal repos.

That's what I was thinking. Ideally, either the older version should be removed from Extras or the newer version promoted to Extras, but it seems like the current setup is confusing. Who do I pester for this kind of thing? Truejournals?

I was going to promote the tearbookmarks package from Extras-devel to Extras, but there is no version currently in Extras.

So, I've put the extras-devel version of tearbookmarks (0.3.1-4) in my repository, along with Tear. If you have my repo enabled for Tear, you'll get the latest version of tearbookmarks too.

I really hope a version of Tear ends up in Extras.

Really? Sorry for the confusion.

OK, I'll update the wiki doc.

this to the point that the whole maemo interface becomes unresponsive...

I feel like a TearTard. I installed tearbookmarks from Qole's repo. I don't see how to use it. I see nothing new in Tear nor do I see any separate tearnbookarks app. How does one use it?

It's a panel that you enable in the Control Panel. See the Tear link in my sig.
