Could some guru explain how to enable hpet and config_no_hz or why that would be a bad idea. I got those as recommended suggestions in PowerTOP.

Uh? The N900 doesn't have HPET (surely) and already uses config_no_hz (didn't check but 99,9% sure).

Thanks.. guess PowerTOP are more for intel chips than armel.. just wanted to know.

You're using the lesswatts.org powertop. The one that came with original n900 firmware release is different.

There is no GUI for it.

It is in extras-devel repository..
