Delta and airtran are offering it for free for new accounts until the end of December. Virgin America is offering it for free until mid Jan I think.

I could not tell the difference between surfing on my n800 on the plane vs my home wifi network - i was able to stream youtube etc.

A friend paid 25GBP for a bus from Oslo to Goteborg today. It had free wireless internet and a power point to plug in. The alternative was a plane for 350GBP one way!

Let's hope inflight (wi-fi) internet becomes ubiquitous. Perhaps i nthe subway too (but I don't mind no cellphone coverage as it's too noisy already, and worse with people shouting over the noise of the train!).
