I'm sure it's ok, or you could remove the internal SD card entirely, and format it at your leisure.
my N800 is caught in a reboot loop and I would like to flash it to a "clean" state.
Therefore I thought it might be a good idea to format the internal SD card externally before flashing.
Is that OK?
