Very much doubt that, the pen holder just seems to be a hole cut into a piece of the body. No visible seams run along it, so you're best with ysss's idea of putting something sticky on the end of your pen. Or a cotton bud.

When I first got it I promised myself i'd keep it clean and scratch free, always in it's case, but somehow it's managed to get a couple of scratches on the outer ring of the faceplate (the bit with "Nokia" on it) and a few dents on the rear cover.
Sounds trivial, but it really does remove the device's "luxury" aura.

Has anyone tried this? Is it particularly difficult?
Dude if you do replace your case let me no how you got on... Because i need to replace mine too Thanks....

It's good, but it definitely adds bulk. makes the N900 look even bigger.
The other slightly annoying issue with it is that the extra bulk makes it slightly more difficult to hit the top row of keys. But I got used to this fast.

Other than that glad I bought it. before this I was using a pouch that my wife made for me. I think the pouch caused the N900 to stay too warm at all times (this is bad for the battery) and it made even more bulky to keep in a pocket.

With the otterbox I can pocket it and rest easy thanks to the cover and screen protector.

Hadn't had a screen protector till now on the N900, was always afraid it would affect the sensitivity.
Honestly it hasn't affected it much at all, and now I'm not afraid to use my stylus more on it since I'm not scared of scratching it as I was before.

The screen protector does seem to smudge more though.

Has anyone tried this? I ordered the same item. My N900 fell out of the cheap bike mount I bought form Hong Kong while I was going pretty fast... and then fell out again when I tied it in for the trip back... and got scratched up around the edges pretty badly. (the screen protector was gouged to heck, too, but it made me believe in ClearProtector -- I replaced the protector and the screen itself is good as new.)

If not, I'm going to give it a shot when mine arrives.

Hello. I want to replace the entire case too, but I noticed that the new one highly differs from the original one. We're not talking about battery cover (camera won't work, paint it black and no magnets) and screen (seems to be all fine), we're talking about a part where all buttons are.

First of all, N900 have a lot of metal contacts on it, which seems to be antenna contacts? The new housing does not have any of it at all.
And also, the original housing have a metal contact where the hard reset button is, the new housing does not.

Any ideas what to do here?
