Dear Board. I have N770 Hardware with "SU-18_2007HACKER_4.2008.7-1_PR_F5_MR0_ARM" image installed.

Device's backlight shuts off automatically acording to the setting's amount of time, Max time is 2min.

How can I prevent this? I need the backlight to illuminate always.

Thank you.

Untested first idea that comes to my mind: Hack the mce.ini file.

Does the GCONF way of OS2008/2009 not work on your OS?
(You could try my moreDimmingOptions , don't know it will work on your OS.)

My .deb is linked in my post.
Otherwise, try using a GCONF editor.

Do you have plans on uploading that to Extras? It's so useful that it should be available from the Application Manager.

MoreDimmingOptions does work in that HE build and the 2006 build. I'm using it on both!
It's a quick and painless way.

Wouldn't that eat up battery life real quick though?

I'm not using this Tablet "as should". My Tablet acts as an pluged-in Wlan infomation center that get's it's data from internal php server and shows the results in Flash/Browser client. Pictures, temperatures, stock market data etc... Skype is also in the backround.
