Hi friends, ive noticed that since a few days ago (around 3 or 4 days) the discharging of my battery has increase dramatically. If noticed this when i woke up and saw that the battery level was below 60%. When i go to sleep i always have the n900 full charged and normally it only lost around 10-15%....any ideas? My N900 is overclocked to 825Mhz, but this was done a couple of weeks ago
Thanks

Well have you installed any dubious programs or updates lately? There is the batteryeye application that you can use to log the battery drain. Try that and see if you can track down the issue.

I noticed that when i activated automatic horizontal vertical mode in browser that it might have left accelerometer on and drained battery even after i disabled it.
Maybe you should try booting the device and see if it helps.

I often get random processes left running eating battery, easy answer if you don't know how to find and kill the process, turn it off and back on again

i have exactly the same thing, last 2-3 days have barely managed 8 hrs when used to be able to get close to 48hrs

nothing installed, uninstalled, no different use to previous days

have had the phone since first launch, bought direct from nok (pre-order)

Maybe battery had it already?

Reboot device, or
close all browser windows, go to X-Term and type

killall pulseaudio
killall tonegend
killall trackerd
killall mafw-gst-renderer

It may help. Some bugs are here and we are waiting PR1.2 update for fixes.

do you have 3g on? maybe there's something up with the transmitter and the n900 is using extra power on a weak signal?

i find my battery life on N900 is great.

when i go to bed i just turn the accounts off, and it stays on WiFi and updates email.

when i wake up, i turn all the accounts back on.

i find on average it lasts about 24 hrs
