I accept the nomination from juiceme. I go by jackburton on the forums but my real name is Brandon Saxe.

I have been using Nokia tablets and phones since the N800.

My most significant contributions to the community have been in the form of several apps for the N900. I also helped document compiling kernels on the N9 for iptables and other support (I needed bluetooth tethering myself).

I have been less involved in the community the past 5 months as I have had my first child. Things are normalizing now and I am reinvesting some of my free time back again to the community. It has been a very rewarding experience to contribute as well as get so much back. And it's a lot of fun. Oh, and I learn A LOT.

I have no clue how exactly a council member contributes or has mandate, but I'm up for the commitment if there's guidance.

I would like to see at least one person with a vested interest in the Neo900 on the council, therefore I nominate dos1 who I think would be a great candidate given his FLOSS background and contributions and his participation within this community.

More gifs and funkiness is indeed needed. A bad plan? Ive seen worse GL...

It looks like we may have enough volunteers without me. If you still insist on my nomination, feel free but I would like to stress that it may not be the best idea. I do not mind sitting on the bench as a reserve though.

Unfortunately, I have to decline. I barely have time for sleep, much less active participation in a community such as talk.maemo.org. I have never used a mailing list; I barely use IRC...
When will I return to being more or less active on TMO? There are a lot of answers...

I've had at least one N900 pretty much since they came out, barring short periods when Nokia Care were caring for them, but I suspect I am only beginning to discover the true depth of the device's capability now I'm trying to find useful things for a disabled device to do. While I'm not much of a coder, I have tried to contribute advice, experience and the odd wiki page.
