Well, sadly, noone from this great board has contact me as of yet. Why? I have no idea. Maybe i should spread the word more online, next week hopefully or so. But i was really hoping people to jump aboard and help. I'll try to contact the guy who was working on the Pandora port though and maybe he'll jump in for a few bucks. I will also, email Relic Entertainment/Sierra if they would like to help.

But still, anyone wanting to help, contact me and don't be shy, thanks!

Peace!

I think it is a little bit abrasive, but it's insightful, not stupid. People tend to jump on board way more easily if you give them something to play with.

Uh, come on. planning for a team of 10 with PR/marketing, you being a "producer"... This could probably be done by a single coder with the right set of skills and the interest to make the port happen, maybe it could use a few of those but that's about it. If there was a programmer who started the task, then maybe there would be some use for the rest of the team you proposed but lacking that there is absolutely no sense in appointing yourself as the producer of a nonexistent team and asking people to contact you in my opinion.

I'd like to join but I do miss two more-or-less necessary skills:
* Know how to code
* Have skills with textures/recompiling
Maybe you should upload/link to:
* Homeworld Linux Version
* Homeworld SDK Source-code
* Bunch of software
I'd love to see this game run on maemo 5

well count me in for some serious testing if this project ever happens,

More info on this for any would-be porter. The Linux & Mac -functioning version of Homeworld, HomeworldSDL lives at http://www.homeworldsdl.org/

There has been quite a bit of work on getting it running on the Pandora and other ARM Linux platforms by one developer. Not done though and development seems to have either ceased or is very slow.

Would be great to see this happen. (can say this for a lot of games though) I also appreciate the dose of reality on this thread. Folks on these boards I think really don't understand just how hard it is to port anything. It can be some of the hardest work anyone capable of programming can do.
