I booted the MeeGo rescue initrd, enabled USB networking. Result: the network applet in the notification area is continuously a running circle, the exported partitions are not detected (a connection can't be established). Once it finishes running, the applet shows "Nokia N900: disconnected" and after a while starts running again.

The same happens if I enable usb networking in rescueOS.

How can I then expose the whole EMMC (including optfs) so that I can use gparted? I only want to increase the size of the optfs to ~6GB

Why usb networking?
IIRC there was script in meego initrd which mount whole emmc if no check this: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...7&postcount=57
Be careful with any MyDocs modifications. I remember u-boot has problem with modified vfat partition via gparted (reformat in windows fixed it).
