Is there anyway to run a virtual N900 on my PC which will give me complete access to maemo 5 on my PC in a window, such as Windows Virtual PC gives access to virtual XP?

Run maemo 5 locally. But aren't the backups in .zip format?

Some of the files are in zip format and some of the files are in a format recognizable only by n900/maemo so I need to have virtual access to be able to "restore" the backups on a virtual device and then just mail/sync the contacts/calendar through the virtual n900 to my only google calendar & storage.

That way I can just download them onto other devices

That RDA is good , but the connection sucks , it runs 10 times slower than VNC . lol

By the way , it seems they installed CSSU on one N900 .

Wow this RDA thing isn't even letting me start the device program anymore, was working completely fine then suddenly exited and fails to reconnect to the virtual N900s

install Qt SDK, it contains an N900 emulator (qemu). And it's way faster than a real N900. Application Manager is actually usable. :P
