I need to sell one of my N900 phones.
How to completely format EVERYTHING?
When I reflash it, I still have my music, my contacts, my SMS and so on.
Can you help me to make a TOTAL reset?

TIA

Luca

Flash the normal flash image, and then the EMMC image and that should do it..

Wouldn't he run into problems, as the downloadable emmc is an older version than the firmware (41something for the emmc, 42.11 for the firmware)?

Flash the latest firmware, do a Restore all Settings via Settings > Profile (then clicking on the Profile title bar). Manually delete all contacts/email folders/folders created on Phone memory .. the works.

Verify none of your account information exist on the phone and then feel free to sell it.

p.s. if the admins/mods are seeing this, I hope this goes into Bugszilla as a feature enhancement "To be able to do a hard reset" as seen on previous S60 devices.
