Automatic rerouting would be nice when on the move, also would be nice to see where I am, the little red spot on the purple route doesn't stand out too well...

In the meantime, imagine that Feature X proposed in Solution N is not implemented by Ovi Maps yet but there are several alternatives that implement it very well. Do we need to keep that part open because the solutions need to be around Ovi Maps or would users be happy just by getting the features from anybody now?

I believe some of the most voted "solutions" would deserve a brainstorm in its own. Turn by turn navigation is a good example.
A month later...

Is it me the only one thinking that http://maemo.org/community/brainstor...t_suggestions/ has gone out of control? Brainstorm proposals need to be around a concrete proposal.

Now what? Imagine that one of the 21(!) "solutions" is under development. Should we move the whole proposal to In Development and leave a big question mark about all the rest?

A concrete example:

http://maemo.org/community/brainstor...igation_on_ovi is the most "popular" brainstorm at http://maemo.org/community/brainstorm and
"Solution #2: Free turn by turn navigation on OVI" is the 5th most popular proposal of solution.

I want to comment officially on it, since there was an official announcement last week about Nokia Maps offering free navigation. However, if I move the brainstorm to Under Development selecting that solution at the same time the other 22 proposals will be carried away with the move.

Maybe some of them will be implemented by Ovi Maps but I don't want to get into more details now. Please tell me how to proceed.

I suggest having a status per solution rather than a status per brainstorm, this way a solution can be marked as implemented, while another is still under consideration or under development... is it too late to restructure the brainstorm/solution format?

because putting each idea in a separate brainstorm will create a mess, the idea of brainstorming is to mention all related ideas to the subject being brainstormed to trigger participants come up with more and more related ideas.
