4" nHD is about 184 ppi
My G1 has about 180 ppi
Certainly it's not as good as the N810, but it the G1 is "acceptable", has lower total resolution than nHD, and a smaller screen than 4", and comparable ppi. So, I wouldn't "fear" it at all. My reason for rejecting it would be Symbian, not the screen.

i might have to switch to that if it has t-mobile 3g ( 1700/2100 ) . i miss symbian somewhat and symbian 3 / capacitive / 12mp / 1ghz . http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n8-3252.php

N8 is now 100% confirmed and so is the nHD screen. I'm ok with it in 3.5" screen, but i fear for the E7 supposed 4" screen. Still can't wait to see N8 in action.
