Standard reflash takes care of rootfs only. For a full reflash go for emmc/kernel/rootfs flash as it seems rss reader keeps settings on opt or MyDocs

Come on bro.

I think we all know how to fully flash the phone using maemo flasher, the latest vanilla bin and pr1.3 bin.!!!!

Im telling you this bug is 100% reproducable once uve installed cssu.

It just needs a little look. Im sure its nothing serious.

There's absolutely no way that CSSU has any effect on what's seen after flashing. If you reflashed both eMMC and firmware then the OS will have access to exactly the same data whether it's running CSSU or not. Are you sure you've not done a restore in between?

ur welcome to try, it urself. .

I have tried it on 2 n900s already.

Steps. . .

1. make sure u have rss feeds on ur cssu enabled device.

2. switch off phone. n hold u on keyboard n do the complete flashing process.

3. After flash, start the phone n either launch the rss app or just add the rss widget to any desktop.

U will see that ur rss feeds are still there in the widget and app.

U can flash again, n still the outcome will be the same.

Note that the second time ur flashing it wont be on cssu but this will still happen.

You've been told several times that what you call "complete" flash
is actually only rootfs flash, which leaves user data intact. So, read wiki article on how to flash emmc, ok?

i am using the wiki. .

here are the commands i use in cmd. .

cd "%ProgramFiles%\maemo\flasher-3.5"

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R

after these steps. . i have a fully formatted mass memory and a clean n900 completely reset. .

plz let me know if any steps are missing!. . and plz do not reply if you have not tried flashing and reproducing this problem.

thks in advance. .

And if you add the feeds on a non-cssu enabled device and reflash, what happens?

No rss feed residue will be present.

The phone will be completely clean and new.

The device can be a meego, kernel power, stock and nitdroid phone with multiboot , but still emerge brand new after a full flash.

But if u do this with a cssu phone. . . residude will appear,

And even worse fact is that if u even reflash a flashed cssu phone the rss resudue will still be there.

Thats the sacry part of this bug, some how the cssu has made its way to memory where even flashing does not format.
