Somthing that would be quite awesome and complement 3d (or that 3d illusion based on face tracking) screns and with the 3d proximity sensing, woud be that thing that emits focused sound pulses to do haptic feedback in free air.

So you do not dream about 7gb ram?

For high portability, I already have an N900.

I would like something with a bigger screen and higher pixel count, because that would be much better for reading ebooks and more than casual browsing.

Something with a 6 or 7 inch screen, with a 640x1024 resolution, good for reading, small enough to carry it almost everywhere. It would be perfect if it were of the Pixel Qi variety, to reduce eye strain and save battery power.

I would sacrifice the camera, if needed, but I would like a magnetometer in addition to the accelerometer in the n900, for maps augmented reality applications.

Other than that... It should have good built quality, usb ports and sd/microsd slots for memory expansion.

And it should be cheap.

Build that, and I will buy it.

Is it that hard to have an SSD on a tablet?
There's enough space...

For a forum members whose dreams just got shattered into smithereens by the elopocalypse, we seems to be pretty optimistic group to start putting our dreams together again so quicly and start the dream specs on Meego tablets.

The eMMC is a SSD. So yes you already have a SSD in your N900.

Hm....
I think something like the Nvidia Tegra "Kal-el" recently demoed would be a good processor. RAM wise, 1-2GB. A 300DPI screen @ 720p(~6"), and a four or five-row hardware keyboard. Oh, and an open bootloader/ good root-accessable OS.

That's what -I- want.
