A problem that appeared after cssu is that brainparty rotates again, the game is displayed to half screen and is hardly unplayable.

Mine doesn't. If you have forced rotation on, then it's a hack and it makes sense BP will rotate in a bad way, t was never designed to be forcefully rotated, it was meant to work in portrait.

It's worth noting that Brain Party doesn't use "real" portrait mode. Instead, the screen contents are drawn fullscreen in landscape, but sideways. You can see that if you minimise the app (e.g. Ctrl+Backspace).

So with forced rotation it has the same problem that the Photos app has, which rotates pictures according to orientation but technically stays in landscape mode.

Brain Party is open source, so not impossible for someone to hack a "normal" portrait mode into it, if the developer isn't still active. It would be nice if it did have an option for a non-maximised portrait mode, so that it would have the top bar that would allow you to see the clock and to multitask. (Of course, fullscreen is also nice as an option for better immersion in the game, so ideally both would be available).

Forced rotation needs a list of exceptions.

The N9 port has now been uploaded to Apps For MeeGo Testing (please test/vote/QA there, so it can become stable):

Some more N9 improvements done today (being a good multitasking citizen, single-instance launching, etc - see all Harmattan changes as of today) and the history put into a proper Git repository with history (first commit = Fremantle version, then the Harmattan changes on top of it).

Repository: https://github.com/harmattan/brainparty
Download .deb: https://github.com/harmattan/brainparty/downloads
Issue tracker: https://github.com/harmattan/brainparty/issues

As apps.formeego.org is down again, this one's going in as free app into Nokia Store now. The .deb being uploaded there is exactly the same as the one you can find on the Github "Downloads" page, but the Store makes it easier to find and download for some users.

True, maybe it takes a while for Github to make the file available..

Try this in the meantime: http://o.thp.io/tmp/brainparty_0.5.990_armel.deb

Nokia Store QA needs a "support page", they won't support just a link to the issue tracker, unfortunately, so I've created a minimalistic one: http://thp.io/2012/brainparty/
