I'm trying to sync my messages into my Nokia Suite but I always get this message

I usually get that alot, i usually move the usb cable around to other ports and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

I'd suggest to remove all USB ports with Windows device manager, and then reconnect the phone. Then , Windows will reinstall the USB ports and the Nokia N9 drivers.

On a related note: my N9 obviously does not work on PC Suite but does anyone know of a way to sync it with OutLook 2013 on a PC? I have tried everything, even exporting my OutLook contacts/calendar & then trying to import them to Hotmail (which would then sync to my N9) but the files were too large. Trying that on Gmail was not successful either.

Apparently syncing your phone to your PC Outlook is a bit outdated (I see Android users are having similar problems) but I like having my info in 2 places as a back up.
