My N9 acts like it receives random screen presses and swipes even when my fingers are nowhere near it.

I've been putting up with it for a while but it is happening more and more often and the phone is becoming unusable. I keep my phone in a leather case and there is no obvious sign of damage.

I've tried cleaning the screen with a dry tissue but it had no noticeable effect. Anyone seen similar symptoms? Even better, has anyone fixed it somehow?

Failing better ideas, I think I'm going to have to return my device to Nokia for replacement (it's still under guarantee).

Thanks for the link JonWW - I've been quite conservative with my device (not installing N9tweak etc..).

Looks like the device is going back to Nokia (they better not replace it with a Lumia!)

I had that problem on my N950 once, I can't exactly remember how I did manage to fix it, but I remember that It wasn't something about SW, but -I may be wrong- it was about my case or something in my pockets. Does it behave that way, when it's standing idle on a table?
