@tswindell: "Possibly you should learn to google better" this is absolutely unnecessary. Sure it could be I am totally dumb, but in a minute I only found information about the app icon. Not about the other icons or files. I have to read this stuff, understand it, find out what is relevant and so on.

"Anyway, who is the maintainer? " "Possibly you should learn to google better" "and it wouldn't take you a minute to find " "who is the maintainer"

You asking for the maintainer, so immediatly after clicking on the 1st link, just turn your head to the right and look for the project administrator.

This is the guy to contact.

If he does not answer, maybe he was dead or doing something else ...

What exactly is the problem?
You can just rename the package to yellownotes-applet-0.5.4
and add a note about your changes in the
debian/changelog
file.

Do you use scratchbox? Or the Qt SDK (with madde)?

I am using scratchbox. I didn't know I could upload files to someone else's project. I thought I have to change the name of the maintainer and so on. Also I didn't understand yet what build format I have to use. As long as I can upload the tar.gz with modified source, then there's no problem.
My second problem is how to add files to /.yellownotes. I guess it is done through the control file. I think I will find this.

You can, you just need to have an account on garage.maem.org

Use your name as the maintainer name.

dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -uc -us -sa -d
for building the source, dcs and changes file.
The format (armel/x86) isn't important you can updload one or the
other to the autobuilder.

Take a look at similar packages which install application data.

If you have successfully build a deb package, you can verify the
contents and the installation directiories with:
dpkg --contents <deb-file>

Very good nicolai! I hate when people refers to google on not so simple stuff. I would never have been able to do the AwOken Icon-set without the help of D-iivil. Now i do know it is easy... but before that...

So please guys.. if someone asks for help. Especially developer kind of questions. Try to help. Everyone gains on it.
