I recommend people who wish to use the leaked pr1.2 firmware, flash device with pr1.1.1 and vanilla emmc, then flash pr1.2

I noticed really bad lag the night [my N900 "died"].. then in the morning, (after leaving on charge for about 9hrs, WIFI active also I think) some of my widgets were gone; then restarting, I could not access menu or anything, it was totally unresponsive.

I tried re-flashing the leaked f/w, but it just got stuck at the boot screen with the five dots..

My phone is now disabled... After running the leaked firmware since it was 'released' overclocked @ 900MHz Ive had to downgrade from pr1.2 leaked f/w to Pr1.1.1....then follow these instructions to re-enable the phone/sim due to my phone will not run the PR1.2 leaked f/w anymore and you cannot downgrade f/w.

And just so everyone knows, Ive had the N900 since it was released, and Ive hacked, modded and flashed it sooo much, plus Im no n00b.

I expected that this will happen sooner or later, it's sad enough that we must go so far to get a "acceptable phone" which runs in a decent speed. Shouldn't it be from the start like that?

Well thanks for the warning, I will not use the PR 1.2 leak.

Are you going to throw it away, recycle or sell it as faulty?

Thanks for the heads up!

Can you manage to reflash it again?

Fyi. 10.2010.12-9 is officially launch with the stock N900 in Hong Kong since 1-May-2010. Of course official or leaked would do nothing to save your device...

Reflash your N900 with the standard current Nokia firmware.

Don't forget the MMC to since the unstable leaked 1.2 and overclock may damage your filesystem.

turning on with 4 dots? doesn't sound like it has much to do with overclocking yet.If the cpu is dead, it should not show anything on the screen period. Just reflash and imo it may boot up.
