If you read the reviews for this product at amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...90310?v=glance) you never want to buy them.

Has anyone ever used the 3M protective film called UltraClean? Someone at ebay sells them even for the Nokia 770 (http://cgi.ebay.de/3x-3M-SCHUTZFOLIE...QQcmdZViewItem). 3 for 4.95 €. Unfortunately they seem to work with glue.

I bought the Pelican screen protector, I trimmed a bit, but did not realize that they attracted lint so fast, I will have to use the other on when I get ambitions to attempt to re-apply. (I figure I would use the one I have for the moment)

The clarity seems to be ok, and the touchscreen works fine. But it must have static that pulls little pieces of lint to the film like moth's to flame.

I'm just going to live with it because it was fairly easy to get.

I went to CompUSA to play with a 770, and while I was there I noticed
these:

http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...393&pfp=BROWSE

They are large enough to fit on the 770. I pulled one out of the package
and it seemed somewhat stiff and it had an adhesive on the back. However, I also looked at all the Palm/HP screen protectors, and they seemed identical except that they were all smaller. These Fellowes protectors would have to be trimmed to fit.

Anyone use these before? Anyone have experience with protectors with adhesives on them? The glue wasn't very strong, it was really just a tacky layer, but I wouldn't want to leave any residue on the screen.

I will buy them today, $19 for 12. I'm still waiting for my 770

l have tryed the fellows brand screen protector, on my 770. I did not like them at all for multiple reasons:
  • very diffacult to apply without bubbles , i think it has something todo with the adhesive being to strong
  • you have to trim the plastic in hieght and width
  • once on it is very hard to remove, i thought i was going to damage the screen
  • the plastic is very thick and has a rough texture making stylus use very difficult
After i gave up on the fellowes screen protectors, i went and got a pelican psp protector. I can not even tell it is on the screen. no bubbles, easy stylus movement, and fairly easy application.

I tried the Fellowes protectors on my 5MX, and they were ok. When using the supplied squeegee I didn't have major trouble installing one without bubbles. Once it was placed, it was almost invisible. Stylus operation and sensitivity didn't seem to be affected.

However, the entire set of films seemed to be scratched! There were 3 stripes on each film from one end to the other. It looked like a flaw from manufacturing. I'll exchange the whole package.

The adhesive was not that strong - it helps to cut off a corner before installing so you can get a fingernail under the film. No residue was left on the screen after removal.

Another thing to note is that 6 of the films included were glossy, while 6 had a matte finish.

These will do for me until someone finds a better solution. I already looked at the Intek PSP protectors.

I posted this in the news section but the hori PSP screen protectors are supposedly the best and are only $5. The width needs to be cropped slightly but it works great.
